By Midway@ Team

Aperitivo is a non-negotiable Roman ritual.
Order a drink, get a glorious spread of snacks.
It's the ideal, low-pressure way to meet.

The Perfect Aperitivo Checklist:

Quality Drinks

A proper Spritz or Negroni is key.

Golden Hour Vibe

Great atmosphere as the sun sets.

Good Company

The most important ingredient.

Top Tiers for Aperitivo

1. Freni e Frizioni

The Vibe: The king of Trastevere aperitivo. Housed in an old mechanic's shop. Huge buffet, great cocktails, and a young, buzzing crowd that spills onto the piazza.

2. Salotto 42

The Vibe: Super chic, right in front of the Temple of Hadrian. This is a more stylish, sophisticated aperitivo. Expect beautiful people and excellent, pricier drinks.

3. Blackmarket Hall

The Vibe: A vintage-filled, speakeasy-style spot in Monti. It's cozy, quirky, and feels like a secret. The food is less buffet, more curated plate. Great for a date.

4. Terrazza Borromini

The Vibe: Rooftop views over Piazza Navona. It's a splurge, for sure. But for a truly epic, 'I'm in Rome' moment, you can't beat this view. Book well in advance.

5. Il Sorpasso

The Vibe: A local favorite in Prati, near the Vatican. Not a classic aperitivo buffet, but amazing wine, cheese, and salumi boards. Feels authentic and less touristy.

Finding a fair Spritz spot.

One of you is near the Colosseum, the other is by the Spanish Steps. Where's the fair place to meet?
